Perito Moreno
Departure from the hotel toward the Perito Moreno Glacier, located in Los Glaciares National Park—a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. This magnificent glacier, often described as a river of ice, covers an area of 257 square kilometers (99 square miles), with its towering front wall rising between 50 and 60 meters above lake level. Fed by the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the glacier slowly advances, creating dramatic ice breaks and thunderous calving events—making it a constantly evolving natural wonder. (B)

El Calafate
Today, enjoy on your own. Maybe, take the opportunity to visit the Glaciarium, an interactive museum dedicated to glaciology, or enjoy a scenic tour through the vast Patagonian steppe. (B)

Departure
At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
EL CALAFATE is the main gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and home to the world renowned Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the main attractions of the area. The Glacier is an impressive river of ice with a surface of 257 square kilometers. It’s 19 miles long and 2.5 miles wide. The height of the front wall ranges between 167 & 197 feet above the level of the lake. And the ice has a depth between 820 and 1149 feet. Listen to the thunderous sounds of the cracking ice! Viewing platforms and trails make the excursion extremely pleasurable. If you prefer, take a boat tour to observe the glaciers.
