BARILOCHE is a Swiss style city with a cool Mediterranean climate on the southern shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake in Argentina. In the 1930s and 1940s it became a major tourism center. The biggest city of a huge Lakes District, Bariloche serves as a base for many excursions in the region. Trekking in the mountains, skiing, and fishing are some of the sports that attract nature lovers to the region.
