Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, transfer from the airport to the hotel. This afternoon you will visit the district of Palermo where the City Zoo, the Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires, the Horse Track, and the National Polo Fields are all located. Enjoy visiting the trendy Palermo Soho & Palermo Hollywood, featuring distinctive boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. With an evening at leisure, head out to a traditional tangueria that is sure to stir the dancer in you.

After breakfast, get ready to delve into the birth city of the Tango! Embark on a tour and see the city’s historical monuments before stopping for coffee & a snack at Café Tortoni, Buenos Aires’ oldest literati café. Next visit the colorful La Boca and glamorous Recoleta neighborhoods, then tour the architecturally impressive cemetery where such prominent figures as Eva Perón (Evita) are buried. Tonight, you’ll experience a traditional Argentine dinner and an evening of Tango at a renowned tangueria, La Ventana. (B,D)

This morning, fly to Iguazu International Airport for the lifetime opportunity to explore Iguazu Falls. On the Argentine side, you will take in the views of many of the area’s 275 waterfalls that fall from an average altitude of seventy meters. Here you will experience the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls, the Superior Circuit, and up-river cascades, and then take the Ecological Jungle Train to the most impressive observation point of the falls – The Devil´s Throat before checking into your hotel on the Brazilian side of the falls. Embark on a private excursion on the Brazilian side of the Falls inside Iguazu National Park to tour the park and head up to the boardwalks located at the edge of the cliffs of the Iguazu River. Enjoy the vista of San Martín Island, Devil’s Throat from the observation deck, and the waterfalls of Bossetti, San Martín, and Three Musketeers. Take an elevator to go up to the road and board the coach for your drive back to the hotel. (B)

Transfer for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and on to your hotel. Today you have a full day at leisure to explore this marvelous city. Rio is situated in a 15-mile-strip of land, wedged between mountains and sea. There are some thirty miles separating downtown Flamengo, from far-flung Recreio, bordered on one side by the blue sea and on the other by verdant hills. Between them lies a colorful state of mind called CARIOCA, with almost 8 million locals who samba their way through life, relaxed and high-spirited! (B)

A full day city tour is on today’s exhilarating agenda. Head to Cosme Velho Station and board a cog train for the scenic ride through Tijuca Forest up Corcovado Mountain to view the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer. Descend by train and head past Rio’s world-famous beaches, then board a cable car for a two-staged ascent up Sugarloaf Mountain. Next, it’s on to Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park towards downtown for a panoramic tour of famed attractions. Tonight, you can take in an optional Brazilian folklore show that displays the colors, music, and dances of Carnival. (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Rio de Janeiro Airport for your departure flight. (B)
