DAY 1 I JOHANNESBURG Transfer to your hotel in Johannesburg and
enjoy the balance of the day to explore this fascinating city at leisure.
DAY 2 I JOHANNESBURG I VICTORIA FALLS After breakfast you will
head to the airport for your flight from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls in
neighboring Zimbabwe. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own
pace. In the early evening, embark on a cruise down the mighty
Zambezi River where you can see a variety of game, including:
hippopotami, crocodiles, elephants, and sometimes even
rhinoceroses. Great photo opportunities await you with a picture-
perfect African sunset backdrop. (B)
DAY 3 I VICTORIA FALLS Unforgettable moments are yours on your
second day in Zimbabwe with a guided tour through Victoria Falls
National Park. At 5,603 feet wide, Victoria Falls is the largest curtain of
water in the world. See the cascading water and take in the tranquil
lagoons upstream where hippos and massive crocodiles lurk. Stop for
photos in front of the “Big Tree,” a massive baobab tree that is 1,000
to 1,500 years old. Learn about the history of the Falls and the flora,
fauna, bird, and wildlife that call the rainforest home. (B)
DAY 4 I VICTORIA FALLS I CHOBE Drive from Zimbabwe into Chobe,
Botswana. After arrival and lunch on your own at the lodge in Chobe
National Park, begin your exploration of this protected area. Chobe
National Park is the second largest game reserve in Botswana. The
flowing Chobe River is a life source of the many diverse inhabitants,
the most famous being the elephants. In fact, Chobe has the highest
concentration of elephants in Africa. In the evening, enjoy dinner at
your lodge. (B,D)
DAY 5 I CHOBE Arrange for an early morning wake-up call today and
get ready for your next safari experience. After your morning adventure,
return to the lodge for breakfast, time for relaxation, or the opportunity
to browse in the curio shop. After lunch on your own, you will head out
for an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park. In the evening,
enjoy dinner at your lodge. (B,D)
DAY 6 I CHOBE Rise and shine and jump into your next safari
experience. After your morning adventure, you will return to the lodge
for breakfast and leisure time. Savor lunch on your own at the lodge
before heading out for an afternoon game drive in Chobe National
Park. In the evening, enjoy dinner at your lodge. (B,D)
DAY 7 I CHOBE I CAPE TOWN Have an exciting morning adventure
through Chobe National Park. After breakfast, begin the drive back to
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Cross the border through Kazungula, and
continue to the Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg and
then on to Cape Town. Upon arrival in Cape Town, transfer to your hotel
and enjoy the balance of the evening at leisure to explore this
cosmopolitan city on your own. (B)
DAY 8 I CAPE TOWN Summit the legendary Table Mountain (weather
dependent) then wind your way past the scenic and upmarket suburbs
of Camps Bay and Clifton enroute to the central business district
where you will see Parliament Buildings, City Hall, the Slave Lodge, and
the Castle of Good Hope. Pass Charly's Bakery, and hear a brief history
of District Six as you head to the Company Gardens. Your next stop
takes you to the Malay Quarter for a look at the colorful Bo-Kaap
homes. Next, see a professional diamond cutter as he creates perfect
gemstones before returning to your hotel for time at leisure. (B)
DAY 9 I CAPE TOWN Journey along Millionaires Paradise, gazing at
the glamorous homes of Clifton Beach and Camps Bay, and then wind
your way towards Hout Bay. Hug the cliffs along the legendary
Chapman's Peak Drive as you head towards the Cape of Good Hope
Section of the Table Mountain National Park. Next, join a splendid
excursion to Boulders Beach Penguin Colony before visiting the
historical naval port of Simon's Town. (B)
DAY 10 I CAPE TOWN Captivating Cape Town is all yours to explore at
your own pace today or consider joining one of the magical excursions
available, such as a Robben Island tour, a winelands experience, or a
shopping expedition. (B)
DAY 11 I CAPE TOWN TO USA (OR EXTEND YOUR STAY) Transfer
from your hotel to the Cape Town International Airport for your
departure flight or extend your vacation in South Africa. (B)
