General
This beautiful spacious apartment, just 15 minutes walk from Florence’s Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, is a testament to the time when most of Italy was ruled by Napoleon. Crammed with 18th century Napoleonic furniture, paintings and silverware, this is a stylish base from which to see the rest of Florence’s unmatchable art and culture.
The owners live on the ground floor of this gracious palazzo and our apartment has a separate entrance that leads to the first floor. Roomy and comfortable, four adults (no children) are imperially accommodated within its quiet, beautifully decorated, walls.
Location
While there is limited pay parking in front of the palazzo, we recommend that a car is avoided since everything is within easy walking distance. Shops, bars, restaurants and banks are everywhere around, not to mention the galleries, museums, churches and the Ponte Vecchio of course that make Florence what it is.
Layout
Street access through double doors up 15 steps into a hall. Straight ahead through the apartment's own front door, up 24 steps to a large first floor landing. Comfortable seating area with steps up to a gallery (no access). Dining room leading to a well-equipped kitchen with double sink unit, electric oven and 4 ring gas/electric hob. From the kitchen French windows out to a narrow balcony overlooking garden. Utility room with washing machine and fridge/freezer. One twin bedded room with large built-in wardrobes. A dressing room. One double bedded room with en-suite bathroom, WC etc. Large shower room, WC etc.
