Day 1/Sat Depart USA
Overnight flight to Amman. Meals and refreshments served on board.
Day 2/Sun Amman
Upon arrival in Amman, you'll be met and taken to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure with dinner at your hotel. (D)
Day 4/Tue Petra
A full day dedicated to the visit of the lost Nabatean city of Petra. Start with a morning ride in a Bedouin guided horse: you'll pass through the fabled Siq, an immense sandstone gorge which opens out to reveal the Treasury. Continue to gaze at hundreds of ancient temples, royal tombs, Roman Theatres and houses. Return to Petra hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 5/Wed Petra/Wadi Rum/Amman
Depart in the morning to the magical desert of Wadi Rum, the home 'Lawrence of Arabia'. Enjoy a mint of tea or Cardamon coffee before touring this moon-like landscaped desert in a Bedouin Driven jeep. After the tour, return to Amman via the desert highway for dinner overnight. (B,D)
Day 6/Thu Amman (Desert Castles Tour)
Full day tour to visit the Desert Castles including Qaser Kharaneh, Al Muthata, Qaser Amra and Qaser Al Halabat. Back to Amman for dinner and overnight (B,D)
Day 7/Fri Amman (Jerash, Ajloun)
Late departure to the best preserved example of Roman civilization, Jerash. The city features theatres, churches, temples, and colonnaded streets. Then proceed to the Saracen Castle at Ajloun that was built in the 12th century by Saladin in his campaign against the Crusaders. Return to Amman in early evening for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 8/Sat Amman
Full day at leisure to relax, do last minute shopping or join an optional excursion to the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight (B,D)
Day 9/Sat Depart Amman (or extend your stay)
