BUENOS AIRES

After breakfast, embark on a city tour of

Buenos Aires. See The Pyramid de Mayo, the Presidential palace, the

Cabinet, and the Metropolitan Cathedral. View the symbol of the city,

“The Obelisque.” Enjoy history and modern day musings as you

discover the various neighborhoods from San Telmo with its

signature tango parlors; to European-inspired La Boca, trendy Puerto

Madero, and La Recoleta Cultural Center. Included are also visits to

Colon Theatre and Club Hebraica. (B)

BUENOS AIRES

Take your time to explore Buenos Aires at your

own pace today. After the day at leisure, an unforgettable time at a

locally renowned tango parlor awaits. Classic orchestras that revive the

original styles with melancholic rhythms reminiscent of the 1940’s,

typical food and the best wines, excellent service, and a lively ambiance

welcome you. We will enjoy an excellent dinner and traditional tango

show at La Ventana with tango lessons included! (B,D)

IGUASSU FALLS

Head to the airport for your

flight to Iguassu Falls and transfer to your hotel upon arrival. Visit the

Brazilian side of the falls, following the paths by the cascades, then walk

along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of Devil’s Throat

for the most magnificent of views. Tonight we will enjoy dinner and an

authentic Latin American folkloric show featuring regional music and

dances at Rafain Barbecue House. (B,D)

DAY 5

IGUASSU FALLS

Departing from the hotel this morning,

embark on an excursion to the Argentine Iguazu Park. The visit starts

with ample time to see the upper Argentinian falls, including the San

Martin Falls. Board a passenger boat to photograph the amazing

waterfalls. Then learn about the area’s flora and fauna from an

insightful guide. On the way back from the falls, the tour stops at the

Argentine shopping district. Lunch at El Fortin is included in today’s

Transfer to the airport for your

flight to Sao Paulo. Upon arrival, transfer for check-in to your hotel.

Enjoy the day at your leisure in the fastest-growing city in Brazil. São

Paulo is one of the world’s largest urban centers. Here you can opt to

visit one of the many area attractions such as: The City Park and Zoo,

the Ibirapuera Park, and the planetarium or the unique snake farm

of Butantã. (B)

Wake to this splendid day in São Paulo and join

in a special Jewish Tour of the city that showcases Jewish life and

history. Home to the largest Jewish community in Brazil visit the

Congregacao Israelita Paulista (C.I.P.), boasting the largest

synagogue membership in Sao Paulo. Tours UNIBES, the city’s most

important Jewish welfare organization. See The Albert Einstein

Jewish Hospital. Visit the Byzantine-style Temple Beth El and the Bom

Retiro Jewish neighborhood. (B)

Today we will share time

visiting the “Hebraica Blub” Jewish Athletic and Community Club that

features activities including: sports, leisure and entertainment,

culture, education, and religious teaching. Founded 38 years ago, it

now serves 30,000 members and is the largest Jewish organization

in Brazil. Enjoy an included Kosher lunch at Red Restaurant. This

afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Upon arrival your transfer awaits to take you to your hotel for check-

DAY 9

RIO DE JANEIRO

Begin the day of sightseeing viewing the

famed beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. Take the cable

car up to the crest of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Savor lunch during the

tour at Confeitaria Colombo situated downtown. This afternoon, visit

the grand synagogue, magnificently restored by famed publisher

Adolph Bloch. We continue to the Jewish Federation. Then it’s on to

the Ipanema headquarters of H’Stern for an informative visual

explanation of how gemstones are discovered, mined, and made into

beautiful jewelry. Enjoy the evening at leisure. (B)

DAY 10

After breakfast at your hotel, the Jewish

heritage exploration continues with an excursion to the traditional

Jewish School Eliezer Steinbarg Max Nordau for students from pre-

school through high school. Take time this afternoon to delve into

this vibrant city on your own. Beth-El Synagogue located at Clube

Israelita Brasileiro (CIB) will be hosting this evening’s services. After

services, we will meet with members of the Jewish Community. (B)

A full day at leisure welcomes you to

explore and enjoy Rio! In the evening depart from hotel for a typical

Brazilian Night, starting with a Barbecue Dinner one of the highlights

of eating out in Rio. The “Churrascaria” is a local steak house, but

the excitement of the hippie fair (only on Sundays) presents you with

plenty of shopping opportunities for handicrafts of leather, wood, and

metal as well as paintings by local artists. Lunch is included at Bar Ilan

School – the center of Orthodox Judaism in Rio (subject to

confirmation). This small school has an excellent Kosher kitchen in Rio

where the brunch on Sunday is a must or at Clube Israelita Brasileiro.
