Impruneta, Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany, Italy
Villa La Quercia is a 3230 square foot Tuscan villa, dating back to the 17th century, built entirely using ancient terracotta and stones. It was purchased in 1963 by the abstract painter Francesco Clemente, whose artworks can still be admired inside the estate. It is surrounded by 20 acres of land, which is cultivated with vines and olive trees. The villa is situated in Impruneta, just half a mile from the center of town on a rise that dominates the Chianti hills, and eight miles from Florence.
