ATHENS, GREECE – ARRIVAL – WELCOME DINNER
Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, meet your Tour Director and transfer by private motor coach to your hotel to check in. The remainder of your day is free at leisure to experience your first taste of Athens on your own. We will make Athens our home for the next 2 nights. After you decompress and relax a bit, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at your hotel tonight. (D) - Day 03
ATHENS – CITY TOUR
After your breakfast, depart at indicated time for your Athens sightseeing tour including the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. Your expert guide will take you to see the center of the city, the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National library. On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and have a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the famous Parthenon. Your first taste of Athens would not be complete without a visit to the Acropolis Museum, a modern architectural building where, at last, the statues have found their home and admire the wonders and architectural masterpieces of the classical era . Return to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. Last night at your Athens hotel. (B) - Day 04
ATHENS – MYKONOS
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and check-out before meeting your motorcoach in route to an Athens port for your high-speed ferry to Mykonos (approximately 100 nautical miles). Once you arrive on Mykonos Island, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of your day is at your leisure to discover the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos! Find a lively club or wander the labyrinth streets of Chora then find an authentic seaside tavern for a fresh seafood dinner on your own. We will make Mykonos our home for the next 2 nights. (B) - Day 05
MYKONOS – ISLAND & CITY TOUR
Following breakfast at your hotel, prepare for a half day city & island tour. Our private motorcoach will visit some of the most famous beaches plus the inner landscape. Observe fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels and houses built in typical Cycladic style. In, Ano Mera – Mykonos’ second main village, an idyllic place 3.7 miles from town -- where travelers have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century. Our next stop is Kalafatis Beach where there is time to relax a little and enjoy a coffee or a refreshment at your own expense before returning to town and capturing the ultimate “photo-op” vista of Mykonos and its neighboring islands. We switch from motor coach to foot, where we explore the island by navigating its quaint and narrow streets with the opportunity to capture idyllic photographs during the early morning of this quiet city. Travel through history as you get more familiar with the labyrinth of the old town while gaining understanding about the small port and churches in town. Near the end of our walk, we will see the famous windmills and find Petros the Pelican, the beloved mascot of Mykonos. After touring, the remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore on your own or rest. Celebrate this amazing island with a delicious dinner on your own on your last night here in Mykonos. MYKONOS – SANTORINI
Enjoy another early morning breakfast at your hotel before transferring to the Mykonos port for your ferry to Santorini (approximately 79 nautical miles). Upon arrival on the island of Santorini, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of your afternoon is at leisure to admire the spectacular caldera with whitewashed houses perched on the edge, created by the eruption of the islands’ volcano in the ancient times. It’s no wonder this is one of the most romantic islands in the world. Relax in your Santorini hotel for the next 2 nights. (B) - Day 07
SANTORINI – FREE DAY OR OPTIONAL WINE ADVENTURE
After your breakfast, enjoy free time to relax or explore the volcanic island of Santorini on your own at your leisure or join an exciting optional Santorini wine adventure tour. Be sure to visit the Prehistoric Museum in Fira that hosts artifacts from the sites of Akrotiri and Ancient Thira, including the famous wall paintings or discovering the colorful beaches of the Island also created by the volcanic eruption. Do not miss visiting the traditional village of Oia--the most photographed place in Greece--best known for its breathtaking sunsets. Small white homes sprinkle the steep hillsides, interspersed by splashes of rich ochre, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red make Oia a magical place. After your free day or optional tour experience, return to the hotel for an independent evening at your leisure. (B)OPTIONAL TOUR FOR DAY 7Santorini Wine Adventure: Taste the award-winning volcanic wines of Santorini as you visit some of the most legendary wineries of the island on a small-group Santorini wine tour of three traditional wineries. Learn about the ancient vineyard of Santorini, the history of the island through the centuries and how the volcanic soils influence its winemaking. Visit 3 traditional wineries dotted around the picturesque island and taste a selection of 12 different wines served alongside local cheese and snacks. - Day 08
SANTORINI – ATHENS
Savor your early morning breakfast at your hotel before transferring to the port for your ferry back to Athens. Sit back and relax as your ship transports you over the high seas to Athens (approximately 146 nautical miles). Meals on board will be at your own expense. Upon arrival in Athens, meet your ground transfer and drive to the to your Athens hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, you will have some free time to last-minute shop or rest before dinner. This evening you will be transported to a local restaurant, where you’ll be treated to a delicious dinner with cocktails accompanied by a live floor show featuring authentic Greek music and folk dances, performed in traditional costumes with plate smashing.
