Itinerary
Day 1 - MON I SANTIAGO
Arrive in Santiago de Chile and transfer to
your hotel. Embark on an insightful city tour where you will see San
Francisco church, Santa Lucia Hill, Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, and
the famous Central Market. Next, cross the Mapocho River and venture
into the bohemian Bellavista district as you travel along to San
Cristóbal Hill to take in the inspired vistas of Santiago and the Andes
Mountains.
Day 2 - TUE I SANTIAGO
This morning greets you with the opportunity
to explore Santiago de Chile on your own. This city of contrasts
showcases the remains of its colonial past in stark contrast with the
ultramodern, high-rise buildings of its financial center. Venture along at
leisure or you may choose to participate in an optional excursion to
Valparaiso and Viña del Mar or a half day Wine Pairing Program at
Vinolia. (B)
Day 3 - WED I SANTIAGO I PUERTO MONTT I PUERTO VARAS
After
breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto
Montt. Upon arrival meet your guide and head to your hotel in Puerto
Varas. Today you have plenty of time at leisure to explore Chile’s “City
of Roses.” Overlooking one of Chile’s most expansive lakes, Lago
Llanquihue, take in the awe-inspiring views of snow covered Osorno
Volcano that can be seen reflected in its waters. Share time exploring
Puerto Varas’ main square, gardens and monuments. (B)
Day 4 - THU I PUERTO VARAS
Power up with breakfast at your hotel
and get ready for an unforgettable adventure. Today you will sail the
breath-taking emerald waters of Todos los Santos Lake. This splendid
excursion takes you to the world renowned Petrohué Waterfalls and on
to Peulla, a small ecological village of 120 inhabitants situated along
the famous Andean Crossing. Next, enjoy a two-hour boat trip and
discover the majestic Osorno, Puntiagudo and Tronador volcanoes.
Peulla welcomes you with vast activity options including canopying,
horseback riding, and 4x4 safaris. (B,L)
Day 5 - FRI I PUERTO VARAS
Have breakfast at your hotel before
taking the day at leisure to delve into the area at your own pace. The
options abound for exploration or enjoying an optional full-day
excursion to Chiloe Island, best known for its post-card perfect, colored
stilts or “palafito” built on the water. (B)
Day 6 - SAT I PUERTO VARAS I PUERTO MONTT I PUNTA ARENAS
Rise and shine with breakfast at your hotel before heading on a
sightseeing tour of Puerto Montt with its signature wooden houses
inspired by German settlers back in the 1850’s. Pass along Costanera
Avenue, Reloncavi Bay, Tenglo Island and its channels to the town’s
center with its typical square and old-world cathedral. Visit Angelmó,
the traditional fish and seafood market in the port and then transfer to
the airport for your flight to Punta Arenas. (B)
Day 7 - SUN I PUNTA ARENAS I TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will tour Punta Arenas, the first permanent
settlement in the Austral zone of Patagonia. This fascinating town was
established in 1848 and quickly became the most important cattle
raising center of Patagonia. Proceed to Cerro La Cruz, from where you
can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the city and the Straits of
Magellan. This afternoon, enjoy a drive through the spectacular Torres
del Paine National Park, passing the Patagonian steppe. (B,D)
Day 8 - MON I TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK
Wake to a day of
near endless opportunities for exploration, relaxation, and active
adventuring today where you can embark on a wide variety of optional
excursions and take time to enjoy the all-inclusive program of Hotel Rio
Serrano. Your stay includes all meals and beverages, entry fees to
Torres del Paine National Park, access to the resort’s spa, and much

Day 9 - TUE I TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK
Welcome the day
with breakfast at Hotel Rio Serrano and unending options for
enjoyment. Take time to join in an optional excursion to Torres del
Paine National Park and experience reportedly the most spectacular
worldwide reserve at the end of the world! In this this protected area
you will find a fertile combination of lakes, lagoons, waterfalls, glaciers,
hills and peaks. Inside, the road is surrounded with dozens of lagoons
contrasting with hills and snow-capped mountains. (B,L,D)
Day 10 - WED I TORRES DEL PAINE I PUNTA ARENAS I SANTIAGO
After breakfast transfer from Hotel Rio Serrano to Punta Arenas to the
airport for your return flight to Santiago where you can take the balance
of the day to experience the treasures of Chile’s capital at your own
pace. Venture out to explore the city and discover amazing art galleries,
design shops and handicraft markets, as well as a superb selection of
restaurants, bars, and cafes. (B)
Day 11 - THU I SANTIAGO TO USA (OR EXTEND YOUR STAY)
Transfer
to the Santiago airport for your return flight home. (B)
