Arrive at the Marrakech airport, meet your representative and transfer to your hotel.

Spend your day exploring exotic Marrakech. Start your tour at the 12th century archaeological site of the Koutoubia Mosque, standing on where the history of Marrakech started. Walk through the Bab Agnaou Gate to visit the historical Saadian Tombs of the 16th century and stroll through the 12th century Kasbah with its food market, bakeries and narrow alleyways. Enter the 19th century Bahia Palace and discover the intricate work done by the local artisans to decorate this splendid home built by a powerful Vizir for his Harem. Take a stroll inside the Jewish quarter and visit the historical synagogue (if open) built in 1492 by Sephardic Jews expelled from Spain. In the afternoon, your guide will help you to navigate through a maze of colorful streets to discover a multitude of traditional crafts made in Marrakech and the area, displayed in different alleys and quarters depending on the corporation the shops belong to. Stop every now and then at your ease and haggle if you wish over the price of different items. Visit one of the many herbalist stores in the Souks and learn about the Moroccan spices, medicinal herbs and essential oils and we will end our stroll on the UNESCO Oral World Heritage site, Jemaa El Fna where you will discover some of the local folklore traditions such as musicians, dancers, acrobats and snake charmers. Today you depart exotic Marrakech and transfer to the Atlas Mountains. (B)

After breakfast you will depart with your mountain guide for a full day trek around the Ouirgane Valley, lush and green dotted with typical Berber villages. You will head to Todort, Tassa Ouirgane and Tinezrt. Stop for a typical lunch in a Berber house. Relax and enjoy a traditional mint tea before returning back to your hotel. (B, L)

Today you leave the beautiful Atlas Mountains and transfer to Essaouira. (B)

Essaouira is a charming fortified town, of which remains a part of the 16th century Portuguese fort and a complete medina of the mid-eighteenth century, constructed according to the principles of European military architecture planned by Theodore Cornut in the Vauban style. Drive from Marrakech to the Atlantic coast, crossing the Argan forest where you will visit a cooperative of women making this famous oil from the Argan fruit. Enter the city from one of its historical gates and start exploring its traditional colorful markets and artisan streets. Visit the Portuguese fortress which was in the 16th century one of their ports of call. See some of the local art galleries and the cabinet making workshops. Visit the fishing harbor. This afternoon is at leisure to relax or continue to explore this magnificent city. (B)
