This spacious property is well planned. It straddles a private driveway, with the villa and walled courtyard on one side, and a glorious swimming pool and garden area on the other side, but what have the owners done? They specially constructed an underground passageway so that guests do not have to open and close two sets of gates and cross the driveway to get between villa and pool! That is the measure of the thought and care that has gone into preparing for their guests and how they intend to treat them. Santa Croce Camerina is a reasonably sized town and we are 2 kilometres from it and the sea.

Location

For more life and bustle, the provincial capital of Ragusa is about 30 minutes drive away. Here most visitors tackle sightseeing in two stages: first the new Baroque Ragusa, built on a plateau after the 1693 earthquake, then the quiet Ibla district, linked together by a rocky crest. Parking is in the private driveway. The illuminated furnished courtyard is enclosed by high walls and accessed via double gates. The swimming pool measures 12m x 6m, and is surrounded by a furnished garden area replete with manicured lawns, exotic plants and trees. A fabulous covered dining area with barbecue and sink. Next door are changing rooms and showers. Outside shower. The owners live next door hence courtyard, pool and garden areas are shared.

Layout

Entrance from courtyard into sitting/dining room. One twin bedded room and one large double bedded room. Shower room, WC etc. Sitting area leads to very large kitchen equipped with table/chairs, 4 ring gas hob, electric oven, double sink unit and fridge/freezer. Large bathroom, WC etc. Outside shower and washing machine. There is a final cleaning charge of Euro 100.00 payable locally. Late arrivals after 20:00 will be charged at Euro 50. The cost of hiring a cot is Euro 25 per week payable locally.
