Balance of day is at leisure. After unpacking, you may want to mingle with the Venetians, walking through their streets (called 'Calle') or sample the public bus transportation ('Vaporetto' boats) as you glide along the Grand Lagoon. No matter what you decide to do, your Central Holidays local representative will give you invaluable assistance.
Day 3 Venice
Your morning walking tour is highlighted by visits to the golden Basilica of St. Mark and the Doge's Palace decorated by 16th century artists such as Titian and Tintoretto. Also view the Bridge of Sighs and Piombi Prison. Remainder of the day is free. (B)
Day 4 Venice
You have a full day to explore and discover Venice on your own, or let your local Central Holidays representative assist you in taking an optional excursion to the three most famous lagoon islands: Murano, for its glassworks factories, Burano, for handmade lace and Torcello, the first settlement on the lagoon. From April to October, you may take an optional romantic gondola serenade. At all times, however, enjoy on your own a farewell dinner at one of the many renowned local restaurants. (B)
