Day 1 Thu Depart USA Evening departure. Meals and refreshments are served on board. Day 2 Fri Cairo Upon arrival in Cairo, you'll be met by your tour director and taken to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure. Day 3 Sat Cairo/Luxor/Cruise Short flight to Luxor, where you board the M/S Mojito in time for lunch. Tour Karnak temple complex and the Valley of the Kings. Admire Queen Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Dinner on board and overnight in Luxor. (B,L,D) Day 4 Sun Cruise (Luxor/Edfu) Cruise via the Esna Lock to the ancient settlement of Edfu located on the west bank of the Nile River. (B,L,D) Day 5 Mon Cruise (Edfu/Aswan) Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God, the most completely preserved in Egypt. Sail for Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Sobek and the Temple of Haroeris. Resume sailing and arrive in Aswan where you will spend the night on board ship. (B,L,D) Day 6 Tue Cruise (Aswan) Tour of the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and see the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Take a ride on a felucca, a typical Egyptian sail boat to view Kitchner's Island botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight on board ship in Aswan. (B,L,D) Day 7 Wed Cruise (Aswan/Cairo) After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Aswan Airport for your short flight to Cairo. Transfer to your chosen hotel and balance of the day is at leisure. (B) Day 8 Thu Cairo Full day city sightseeing including the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities with the treasures of Tutankhamen's tomb, then drive to the Citadel and visit the Muhammad Ali Mosque. In Old Cairo, visit Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue. End this city tour at Khan el-Khalili market. Lunch is included during tour. (B,L) Day 9 Fri Cairo (Giza Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara) Full day guided tour of the Giza complex including the Great Pyramid and the Great Sphinx. After Giza, proceed to Memphis, site of the Colossus of Ramses the Second and the Alabaster Sphinx. Drive to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid. Lunch is included during tour. (B,L) Day 10 Sat Cairo to USA (or extend your stay) Morning transfer to Cairo Airport for your return flight home. Meals and refreshments are served aloft. (B)
