Central Holiday's Splendors of Spain Escorted Tour gives you pure pampering with an intriguing itinerary, tailored for a journey through Spain's rich culture and history. Your tour begins in the Spanish capital of Madrid where a host will be available to help you take advantage of the city's many treasures at your own pace. After a few days in Madrid, a transfer is provided to the station where you will board a high-speed train for a speedy arrival in Seville. Once arriving in Andalusia's capital city, a tour guide who will accompany you throughout the remaining days as you explore the romance of Southern Spain will meet you. As you travel along the route, your tour includes guided tours to world UNESCO World heritage sites including, Seville's famous Cathedral, the Mosque of Cordoba and Alhambra Palace together with the Generalife Gardens in Granada. After all the touring, your tour ends with a few days on the Costa del Sol provides a perfect opportunity to drink in the sites of the Mediterranean before returning to home.

Day 1 Fri Depart USA
Overnight flight to Madrid, Spain.

Day 2 Sat Madrid
Arrive at Madrid Airport where you will be met and taken to your hotel. In the evening, meet your host and traveling companions and enjoy a 'Tapas' dinner at a lively Madrid restaurant. (D)

Day 3 Sun Madrid
Begin your day in Madrid with a unique panoramic tour of the city's highlights including historical monuments and the modern architecture of the city. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the many treasures of Madrid. You may consider visiting one of the internationally recognized museums along the 'Golden Art Triangle'. Enjoy the Prado, one of the world's foremost museums and home to the great European compositions by Goya, Velazquez and El Greco. Stroll the halls of the Reina Sofia Museum and admire modern masterpieces by Picasso and Dali. (B)

Day 4 Mon Madrid
After breakfast, depart the city of Madrid for the day in the company of a professional tour guide for a full day tour to Toledo. This medieval town is considered one of the oldest in Europe, as the city of three cultures, where highlights include a visit to the Cathedral and Church of St. Tome for a view of the masterpiece by El Greco. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed lunch before viewing the Damasquinado for a first hand look at the detailed technique of embedding precious metal into steel. (B,L)

Day 5 Tue Madrid/Seville
After breakfast, you'll be taken to the rail station to board the AVE train for Seville, Andalucia's capital. Upon arrival in Seville, your tour escort will meet and take you to your hotel. (B)

Day 6 Wed Seville
Your day begins with a guided tour of the romantic city of Seville in the company of a very experienced local guide. Highlights include a visit to the Cathedral, considered the world's largest Gothic edifice. Afterwards, stop for some photos of La Giralda tower before strolling through the narrow lanes of Seville's delightful Santa Cruz district, a former Jewish Quarter. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in the romantic city of Seville. (B,L)

Day 7 Thu Seville/Cordoba/Granada
After a short drive, your tour begins in the captivating city of Cordoba where you will enjoy a guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center. Visit the Aljama 8th Century Mosque combining Islamic, Baroque and Gothic design and internationally recognized as an architectural treasure. Afterwards, continue with a stroll along the former Jewish quarter before continuing to Granada. Tonight experience Spain's local flavors during a dinner at a memorable restaurant in Granada. (B,D)

Day 8 Fri Granada/Costa del Sol
Your day begins with a step back into the rich history of Granada as you visit its main attraction, the fabulous Alhambra Palace, widely regarded as being one of the 10 architectural wonders of the world. Both graceful and mighty, this citadel is laced in stone and is surrounded by gardens and fountains. Your tour includes ample time to walk through the beautiful grounds of Generalife and view the palace of Charles V. Enjoy lunch at a local eatery before continuing to the Costa del Sol hotel. (B,L)

Day 9 Sat Costa del Sol
Catch up on postcards, browse the trendy boutiques, stroll along the Mediterranean beaches, try one of the many restaurants, or simply relax and take in your surroundings. You may consider taking an optional tour to the Moroccan city of Tangier, where you can visit the colorful Grand Socco market, enjoy views of the Spanish coastline and take pictures of the sultan's palace. Day 10 Sun Costa del Sol to USA (or extend your stay)
After breakfast, bid farewell to your fellow travelers. You'll be taken to the airport for your flight to the USA, arriving the same day. (B)
