Explore Rome from the point of view of two star-crossed lovers with Central Holidays Romantic Rome Tour. Your half-day guided city tour reveals Rome's infinite aspects and eras. Drive through Via Cavour and see Piazza della Repubblica with Najads' Fountain. Continue on Via Bissolati and Via Veneto (the "Rodeo Drive" of Rome) and see Palazzo Margherita, Aurelian Walls (3rd century AD), and Piazza Barberini. Pass by the Quirinale Palace, residence of the president of the Italian Republic, then see the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Drive past Piazza Navona, Palace of Justice, Castel Sant' Angelo, Via della Conciliazione, then visit St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. There are also optional tours to Naples, where you will experience the beautiful panoramic views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, and Pompeii, or to idyllic Capri. On your last night in Rome, try dinner at a typical romantic trattoria in Trastevere or visit a sidewalk cafe in Via Veneto.

Day 1 Depart USA

Evening departure. Meals and refreshments served on board.



Day 2 Rome

Morning arrival into Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Transfer to the hotel of your choice. Balance of the day is at leisure. After unpacking, you may want to sample your first, but not your last, Roman cappuccino 'al fresco.'



Day 3 Rome

Your morning tour reveals Rome's infinite aspects and eras. Drive through Via Cavour and see Piazza della Repubblica with Najads Fountain. Days 5, 6 & 7 Rome

Shopping for fabulous bargains in Rome is a MUST! Imagine buying Gucci wallets, Fendi bags, 18 karat gold jewelry, designer clothes, antique prints, or hand-carved cameos for less than in the USA! You have ample time to discover the marvelous shops and boutiques along the Via Veneto, Via Nazionale and Via Cola Di Rienzo. Or perhaps you'd like to take an optional half-day tour to spectacular Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este, or spend a day in Florence, the Cradle of the Renaissance, admiring its many architectural masterpieces. On your last night in Rome, try dinner at a typical romantic trattoria in Trastevere and a farewell drink at a sidewalk cafe on the fashionable Via Veneto. (B)



Day 8 Rome to USA (or extend your stay)

After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be transferred to Da Vinci Airport to board your return flight to the USA, arriving the same day. (B)
