The Mediterranean has hosted travelers from the most ancient human civilizations to the most modern of times. Join these past pioneers as you embark on a 10-day voyage from Marseilles visiting four different countries aboard the M/V Louis Majesty. Along the way, you’ll visit the Balearic Islands, located off the coast of Spain, with the world’s largest underground lake and panoramic views of the Mediterranean on all sides. Your ports of call include Mallorca, Almeria, Malaga, Ibiza, Barcelona, Spain and Tangier, Morocco. In Malaga enjoy an authentic Spanish meal and see the local castles and cathedrals on an enchanting optional night tour. Lively Barcelona offers three exciting optional excursions to various sights in the city, and a taste of Italy beckons the following day as you arrive in Genoa. Your final day will be spent exploring France’s oldest city, Marseilles, where the Old Port and Saint Victor Abbey await.

Evening departure. Meals and refreshments served on board.

Day 2 Sun Marseilles (France)/Cruise
Morning arrival in Marseilles and transfer to the pier for embarkation on the on the M/V Louis Majesty, where you will attend a Captain's Welcome Cocktail Reception and begin your Mediterranean cruise. (L,D)

Day 3 Mon Palma de Majorca (Spain)
Morning arrival in Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands. Ample time to stroll around town or take an optional city tour, including the Maritime Promenade, the 14th century Gothic Bellver Castle. Next, visit the Cathedral and the richly endowed Cathedral's Museum. Also see the Almudaina Palace, formerly an Arab fortress. A second optional excursion takes you to Manacor, where, at the Majorica Pearls Factory, you can observe the pearl manufacturing process. Travel to Porto Cristo and the Caves del Drach to admire the largest underground lake in the world. A third optional tour takes you to Valldemossa, a most beautiful village where the Arabs established farmsteads. Visit La Cartuja, a 14th century hunting lodge later transformed into a monastery. Attend a short piano concert and conclude this tour in Palma, passing through El Mercado De Las Flores. Resume sailing in the early afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Tue Almeria (Spain)/Malaga (Spain)
Morning arrival in Almeria. Here you may either remain on board ship or join an optional excursion that will take you to Granada and at the end rejoin the ship in Malaga. With this tour you drive to Granada. Visit the 14th century Generalife, a summer palace of the kings of Granada, followed by a visit of the Alhambra, a most remarkable castle, built atop a wooded hill with breathtaking views. After the Alhambra Palace enjoy an included lunch at one of the best restaurants. Re-board ship in Malaga. Here, if in the mood for another enlightening optional tour, there is a Panoramic Tour of Malaga by Night, including City Hall, the Justice Court, Pablo Picasso's birthplace, Gibralfaro Castle, the Cathedral and the Alcazaba Palace, built in the 11th century as the residence of the Arabian Caliphs or Kings and the Cathedral. Resume sailing around midnight. (B,L,D)

Day 5 Wed Tangier (Morocco)
Morning arrival in Tangier. Some exciting optional excursions are offered. The first is a drive to Cape Spartel, a visit of the Hercules Caves, where legend says that Hercules breathed his last breath after separating Gibraltar from Africa! Drive back to Tangier and explore on foot the mysterious winding streets and souks of the Medina and stop to barter for your essential souvenir in brass, silver, amber, leather or rugs. The second optional tour is the Fantasia Show, Kasbah & Museum. Drive to Ahlen Village for a stop at the Fantasia Show, enjoying some of Morocco's colorful local performers. Drive back to Tangier for a walking tour along the narrow paths of the medina towards la Kasbah. Visit the museum Dar el Makhzen, formerly the governor's palace, housing the Museum of Moroccan Arts, where a universe of beauty is preserved. Resume sailing in the afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 6 Thu Ibiza (Spain)
Spend the full morning sailing northbound to Ibiza, the third largest of the Balearic Islands. An optional Tour of the Old Town is available. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Playa den Bossa and the sister island of Formentera. Learn about the history of Ibiza. Resume sailing in the evening. (B,L,D)

Day 7 Fri Barcelona (Spain)
Early morning arrival in Barcelona where you are offered three interesting optional tours. The first is an orientation of the city, showing, among other sights, Christopher Columbus monument, the houses of Gaudí and then the popular shopping area at the top of Las Ramblas with its many boutiques, shops, stalls, street entertainers and the famed department store El Corte Ingles. Another optional tour would take you to Park Güell, the greatest work in terms of size which Gaudí realized in Barcelona. Certainly, a fantastic visit!! Afterwards view the Sagrada Familia from the outside and the Gothic Quarter, where you will admire the Cathedral and visit its adjacent Cloisters. Soccer aficionados may opt for a visit to the Football Stadium of FC Barcelona, the 'Camp Nou' and the Museum of this internationally acclaimed club. Resume sailing in the early afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 8 Sat Genoa (Italy)
Noon arrival in Genoa. Here you have an opportunity to see, through an optional shore excursion, the main monuments of this ancient Sea Republic. You will drive by the Aquarium and, when you reach Columbus' House, you may stroll in the historical centre to visit St. Lawrence Cathedral, the atrium of Ducal Palace and St. Jesus Church, housing two paintings by Rubens. End on the hill of Carignano to have a complete view over the centre. If you wish to see the Ligurian Riviera there is another optional tour to celebrated Portofino. En route travel along the Via Aurelia, the Roman "Golden Sun Road" towards Santa Margherita, a renowned and elegant resort, where you board a boat to Portofino, a must for the international and most exclusive tourism. Day 9 Sun Marseilles (France)
Early morning arrival in Marseilles, where you are transferred from the pier to your hotel. After you are settled at your hotel you may enjoy a leisurely walk through town on your own. Don't miss seeing Saint Victor Abbey, Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, and the Old Port with its famous boulevard, La Canebiere. In the evening sit at one of Marseilles' welcoming dining venues for a fitting close of this memorable vacation. (B)

Day 10 Mon Marseilles (France)/USA (or extend your stay)
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the USA, arriving the same day. (B)
