Our new Paris, Athens and the Aegean package features 3 nights in Paris, 2 in Athens, plus a 4-night cruise to Aegean islands. Paris offers many optional, guided city tours, that will cover everything you want to see, even the Eiffel Tower, in the City of Lights. After 3 nights in Paris you will fly to Athens, Greece, where your first day is at leisure. The following morning starts with a tour that highlights Athens' most notable sites, including the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Parliament, the Presidential Palace, and Panathinalkon Stadium - where the first Olympics were held in 1896, plus much more. Afternoon is free for optional excursions or exploring on your own. For the next four days, you will cruise to the islands of Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Rhodes, Heraklion and Santorini. All offer optional visits to historic sites with time to wander on your own.

Day 1/Tue Depart USA
Evening departure. Meals and refreshments served on board.
Day 2/Wed Paris
Morning arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Here you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in Paris. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore the magnificent capital of France. With its endless supply of culture, art, nightlife, eateries and chic shopping experiences, Paris remains one of the most inspiring cities in the world.
Day 3/Thu Paris
There are many optional, guided city tours available, featuring the Arc de Triomphe, The Opera, The Madeleine, Louvre and Champs-Elysees, Seine Cruises with Bateaux Parisien, where you can take pictures of Notre-Dame Cathedral. For a panoramic view, you may also take an elevator to the third floor of the Eiffel Tower. With so much to see and do, Paris is the city so aptly called City of Lights, where exciting evening outings are a must.
Day 4/Fri Paris
Paris has plenty of famous sites to be seen, as well as some of the lesser- known places like the Rodin Museum, or the Musee de la Vie Romantique. You will also have time to venture out to the surrounding areas. A metro pass for zones 1-5 will get you to Versailles to visit the fabulous palace, or take a guided tour to a number of cities, including Chartres, to visit its famous gothic cathedral.
Day 5/Sat Paris/Athens
Transfer to Paris' Charles De Gaulle Airport for your flight to Athens. On arrival in Athens you'll be met by a Central Holidays representative and escorted to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 6/Sun Athens
Morning tour includes the Acropolis, where the Parthenon, a temple built in honor of Goddess Athena, is located. Next to the Parthenon is the Erechthion, with lovely caryatids (sculptured maidens) supporting the roof of the porch. View the ancient theatre of Herodus Atticus and stop at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, guarded by soldiers dressed in traditional costume. See the Parliament, the Presidential Palace, and the Panathinaikon Stadium, where the first Olympics of modern times were held in 1896. The tour will then pass by Omonia Square - the city's commercial center, and Syntagma Square - the business and cultural center. The afternoon is at leisure for some additional sightseeing on your own or to take some optional excursions. For your farewell to Athens, your Central Holidays representative will suggest some interesting venues in the Plaka section of town.
Day 7/Mon Cruising/Mykonos
Transfer to the port of Piraeus for embarkation and sail to Mykonos. Afternoon arrival at this cosmopolitan island, known for its whitewashed buildings and lively harbor.
Day 8/Tue Kusadasi/Patmos
Morning arrival in Kusadasi, Turkey, site of Ephesus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Optional visit is available. Continue to the island of Patmos, site of the Monastery of St. John the Divine. Visit (optional) the Grotto where St. John received the Revelation, as found in the Last Book of the New Testament. Sail in the evening.
Day 9/Wed Rhodes
Full day on the "Island of Roses," site of the Colossus of Rhodes. Visit the majestic Acropolis of Lindos (optional) or sightsee the Medieval Old Town on your own. Sail in the evening.
Day 10/Thu Heraklion/Santorini
Morning arrival at Heraklion, Crete, site of the Palace of Knossos (Optional visit available). Later today sail to Santorini and visit the city built on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Sail in the evening.
Day 11/Fri Cruise/Piraeus/USA (or extend your stay)
Morning arrival into the port of Piraeus. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Athens airport for your flight to the USA, arriving the same day.
