Day 1 Fri Depart USA Overnight flight to Malaga, Spain. Day 2 Sat Costa del Sol Arrive at Malaga Airport where you will be met and taken to your hotel. You'll have the day at leisure. In the evening, meet your host and traveling companions and enjoy a welcome dinner at a lively restaurant in Costa del Sol. (D) Day 3 Sun Costa del Sol/Algeciras/Ceuta/Fez Depart Costa del Sol, Spain and relax aboard a motorcoach towards Algeciras and then continue crossing the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry towards the Spanish community of Ceuta. After a brief stop, resume your journey towards the Imperial Moroccan city of Fez for dinner and overnight stay. (B,D) Day 4 Mon Fez After breakfast, enjoy your full day excursion of Fez. Highlights of this religious imperial city include a visit to the Jewish and Christian quarters and view of the Royal Palace exterior. Continue your tour with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site Medina, where you will stop at the Kariouane Mosque of the university, Najarine fountain and Tannery quarters. In the afternoon, you're free to enjoy this magical city at your leisure. (B,D) Day 5 Tue Fez/Meknes/Beni Mellal/Marrakech Depart towards the imperial city of Meknes, capital of the Grand Sultan Moulay Ismail. Highlights of your panoramic tour of Meknes include a look at the great Mansour Gate, the most well known monument of the city. Continue to Khenifra crossing over the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Beni-Mellal where you can enjoy some free time before continuing towards Marrakech. Dinner will be served at your hotel. (B,D) Day 6 Wed Marrakech After breakfast, your professional tour guide will accompany you on visit of Marrakech. Highlights include Koutoubia Tower, twin tower of the Giralda in Seville, the Saadines Tombs where the Sultan Ahmed El Mansour el Dhabi is buried. Visit the Bay Palace followed by Dejna El Fna Square where you can experience local snake charmers, acrobats and fortune tellers up close. Your afternoon is free to enjoy the city. You can dine at the hotel or have an optional traditional Moroccan dinner featuring Berber dance. (B,D) Day 7 Thu Marrakech/Casablanca/Rabat Depart towards Casablanca with a brief stop at the coastal plains of Settat. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Morocco's financial capital city where you will be able to view the Hassan II Mosque's exterior. Afterwards, continue to Rabat, the administrative capital, for dinner and your overnight accommodation. (B,D) Day 8 Thu Rabat Today, visit Rabat in the company of a professional tour guide. Tour highlights include some of the country's finest monuments including the noteworthy Royal Palace exterior, the Mohamed V Mausoleum, the ruins of Rabat's ancient mosque and the Hassan Tower. Afterwards, relax before dinner and overnight at your hotel. (B,D) Day 9 Thu Rabat/Casablanca to USA (or extend your stay with a return to Costa del Sol, Spain) After breakfast, bid farewell to your fellow travelers. You'll be taken to the airport for your flight to the USA, arriving the same day. (B) |
