Embark on an 8-day food and wine adventure in Spain. This independent travel program takes you to see the sights and savor amazing Spanish cuisine from the country’s capital city, Madrid to Andalucia’s Seville.  Madrid’s many attractions include the Prado museum, the world-famous Opera House and Royal Palace, plus fabulous restaurants, shopping and endless nightlife.  In Seville, the passion and fervor of Spain’s south reveals itself from its historic palaces, Moorish architecture, and Renaissance art to the energetic flamenco and delicious tapas you’ll enjoy.  This trip also features two cooking demonstrations, two tapas lunches, plus three authentic Spanish dinners and buffet breakfast daily as well as lots of included sightseeing.

Day 1 Depart USA
Overnight flight to Madrid.

Day 2 Madrid
Morning arrival into Madrid Airport where you will be met by your local representative and transferred to your hotel. You are free to relax for the remainder of the day. In the afternoon, you may want to take in one of Madrid's three internationally recognized museums.

Day 3 Madrid
Enjoy a unique view of Madrid, the capital of Spain, in the company of an expert guide. Highlights of your walking tour include the Plaza Mayor featuring a tapas (canapes) lunch at a local cafe and a walk along the famous Gran Via. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant featuring a cooking demonstration by a local chef. Afterwards, you may choose to return to the hotel or stop at a local spot to take in Madrid's endless nightlife. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Madrid
This morning your tour will concentrate on the artistic side of Madrid. Highlights include the Cibeles Fountain, Puerta de Alcala and Currency House. Afterwards continue your tour with a visit to the Thyssen Bornemisza Gallery and internationally recognized Prado Museum. In the evening, you're free to enjoy Madrid at your own leisure. (B)

Day 5 Madrid/Seville
After breakfast, depart for the romantic city of Seville by the AVE high-speed train. After a free afternoon to enjoy the charm of Seville at your own pace, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant featuring a cooking demonstration where you will learn the secrets behind an authentic gazpacho and understand the difference between the variety of local southern regional wines. Afterwards, enjoy the evening at your own pace or return to the hotel on your own. (B,D)

Day 6 Seville
Today your walking tour will highlight the monuments of the city including the Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic edifice in Christendom and the Santa Cruz district leading towards the picturesque Alcazar Royal Palace. Afterwards, enjoy an authentic Andalucian Tapas lunch in the bohemian Triana district featuring typical dishes from the region. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy at your own pace. (B,L)

Day 7 Seville
Today you are free to enjoy a romantic carriage ride toward Maria Luisa Park, shop at one of the many quaint boutiques or visit the Flamenco Museum. Your evening will begin with a cruise along the Guadalquivir River followed by dinner at an elegant lounge and an authentic Flamenco Show at the Palacio Flamenco. Afterwards, return to the hotel on your own. (B,D)

Day 8 Seville to USA (or extend your stay)
After breakfast, you will be met and taken to the airport for your flight to the USA, arriving the same day. (B)
