Palace Hotel originally was a private villa built in 1889 by the aristocratic Costa family coming from Corsica. This charming historic house is surrounded by a large park sloping down to the sea. From its wide marble terraces you can enjoy the most enchanting view over Portofino Bay. Excellent service and most welcoming atmosphere in a splendid nineteenth century ambience marked by first-rate comfort and superior professionalism. The Imperial Palace Hotel is today one of the most outstanding and prestigious hotels in the Ligurian Riviera, satisfying the most demanding client and taking one back to memorable times long gone. It is the ideal place for a unique holiday, where the charme of past mixes perfectly with the most modern comforts and impeccable service. Famous writers and artists, like Pirandello and Eleonora Duse were regular guests of the hotel. In 1956 the Vitaliano family acquired the property and enriched the Palace with valuable antiques and pieces of art. The family owned the hotel until 1969, when it was purchased by the Fabbri Family, a well known Italian Publisher.
