As its name indicates, the DUQUES DE BERGARA is a refined hotel with beautiful Modernist decor and architecture that lend it an historic, aristocratic atmosphere. This Modernist building was built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortes, a professor of Gaudi. The entry hall with the marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved from the main building. On the first floor you will find impressive mahogany doors from Cuba and the original moulded ceiling and dome. Along the building s main staircase, the wrought iron handrail has been preserved and the original paintings restored. The hotel offers 145 rooms and 3 suites.
