| Tour Description & Map |
Madrid is one of Europe's foremost cultural capitals, with a collection of art museums second to none. Strolling the galleries of the unparalleled Prado, you'll view the works of such native artists as Velazquez, Goya and many other masters. In the evening, the capital comes to life with a nearendless array of performing arts, including the famous Opera House. A varied selection of restaurants offers specialties from throughout Spain to satisfy the most discriminating palate and the most demanding pocketbook. Venturing beyond the city, you'll discover lovely storybook towns like Toledo, Segovia, Avila, El Escorial, and Aranjuez. Seville is not only the capital of southern Spain, it is also a city out of the romantic past, rich in Moorish heritage. Wander through the Alcazar, a palace-fortress, as you ponder the legacy left by the Arab kings. Stroll through the streets that make this place the perfect setting for high culture and romantic operas like Carmen, Don Juan and Figaro. Feel the passion behind flamenco, or experience the art of tapas tasting in this city known for some of the best in all of Spain. |
