The Grand Hotel des Alpes was commissioned by the Coutlet family in the 1840s. This hotel eventually became known as one of the best hotels in the area. The eldest daughter of the family desired to expand the hotel by building a tower annexed by the original buildings. Through the years the hotel was closed down and renovated. It is, once again, the luxury Alpine tourism in the heart of Chamonix. As you enter the Grand Hotel des Alpes, you will be greeted in their elegant, terraced lounge and bar with a great view of Mont Blanc. You can relax here from the warmth of a real log fire or you can peruse the library. In the morning, a rich buffet awaits you with food prepared only in excellence.

The Hotel Alpina is a high standing modern hotel with 126 rooms, 9 suites, a lively atmosphere and excellent facilities. The hotel balconies, arcades and the restaurant has been completely renovated in the summer of 2006. The suites and rooms face one of the most exciting panoramas of the world, the Mont Blanc massif and its glaciers. They are beautifully furnished and decorated with colour television, satellite reception and radio, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, hair dryer, minibar and balcony. The 7th Floor restaurant 4810 offers buffet breakfasts, 4 course evening meals, and a Savoyard buffet theme dinner on Saturday. The restaurant has a capacity of 400 seats, with panoramic views over Mont Blanc.
