VALENCIA’S BEACHES & HARBORS VOTED TOPS
The region of Valencia on Spain’s Mediterranean has been recognized as having the country’s highest percentage of pristine coastline. The beaches and harbors of Valencia have been awarded 108 Blue Flags – seven more than last year. With over 5,000 miles of coastline, Spain is renowned for its fine beaches, and now Valencia is shining as the region with the highest percentage of its beaches, 50 percent, given Blue Flag status. BENICÀSSIM HOSTS ALTERNATIVE ROCK FESTIVAL
A small beachside city in the region of Valencia is gearing up to host Spain’s largest music festival. From July 15 to 18, the 16th annual International Benicàssim Festival (FIB) will present four nights of concerts featuring more than 100 artists playing alternative rock, electronic, pop and rap music.
