Description

RIO DE JANEIRO is the capital of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and was also Brazil's capital from 1763 to 1960. Brazil’s second largest city is ideally situated between the mountains and the sea and is blessed with beautiful beaches, historical and cultural sites and samba. Rio is also home to the Maracanã Stadium, one of the world’s largest football stadiums. Day or night, you will quickly find out why Rio is known as the Marvelous City!

THE IGUASSU FALLS are waterfalls of the Iguassu River on the border of Argentina and Brazil. A short 2-hour flight connects Rio, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires to the city of Iguassu. People gather here all year to witness one of the planet’s natural wonders. The number of falls varies between 197 to 275, depending on the water level. The most impressive of them is undoubtedly the Devil’s Throat on the Argentinean side, at 246 feet high and 2,100 feet long. The falls are shared by two parks—the Iguassu National Park in Argentina and Iguassu National Park in Brazil. They have both been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
