Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, enjoy your tour of Madrid. Highlights include the magnificent fountains of Neptune and Cibeles, the Alcala Gate, the Plaza de Espana and the Royal Palace. This afternoon you will visit Toledo, a medieval town considered one of the oldest in Europe. Your tour’s highlights will be a visit to the Church of Santo Tomé, for a view of the masterpiece by El Greco. Overnight in Madrid. (B)

After breakfast we depart for Granada. Stop en route in Aranjuez, the royal city of Aranjuez, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at the imperial magnificence of Palacio Real, Aranjuez’s most significant structure and the beautiful gardens that surround the palace, before resuming your journey through La Mancha, the land of Don Quixote. Enjoy here a wine tasting accompanied by tapas before continuing to Granada. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B,D)

Your day starts with a step back into the rich history of Granada as you visit its main attraction, the fabulous Alhambra Palace, widely regarded as being one of the ten architectural wonders of the world. Both graceful and mighty, this citadel is laced in stone and is surrounded by gardens and fountains. Continue to Seville. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B,D)

Today enjoy a guided tour of Seville, the most romantic city in Spain. Highlights include a visit to the Cathedral, considered the world’s largest Gothic edifice. Afterwards, stop for some photos of La Giralda tower before strolling through the narrow lanes of Seville’s delightful Santa Cruz district, a former Jewish Quarter. Afternoon at leisure. Tonight you will be introduced to the art of Flamenco, and experience first-hand a lesson with a professional dancer. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B,D)

After breakfast depart for Cordoba. The Andalusia region is the breeding grounds for the Andalusian horse, a strong and powerful race favored by Moorish kings and thought to have evolved from the Portuguese breed. After a visit of a horse farm we will continue to Cordoba. Your visit will start with a guided tour of the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Aljama, the 8th century Mosque combining Islamic, Baroque and Gothic design and internationally recognized as an architectural treasure. Continue to Madrid. (B)
