Your people-to-people all Havana adventure in Cuba begins with your flight to Havana International Airport. Upon arrival, the excitement commences right away with a panoramic tour of Havana were you will discover the colonial Spanish architecture and beautiful homes once owned by some of the wealthiest Cuban families in the Vedado neighborhood, see the University of Havana, then drive along the world-famous Malecón seawall overlooking the Atlantic, take pictures in Revolution square where many political rallies have been held, and take in the impressive capitol building – modeled after the U.S. capitol in Washington, D.C. Continue to your hotel for check-in. Tonight you will be taken to dinner in a vintage American car to an acclaimed Paladar, a privately-owned restaurant, for a fusion-style meal to inaugurate your first night in Havana. (L,D)

After breakfast at your hotel, set out on an enlightening walking tour of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while participating in open dialogue with a local expert on the area. Learn about the challenges of renovating the city’s exquisite historic buildings, and see some of the area’s elegant restorations as you stroll the charming cobblestone streets of Old Havana’s four main plazas. Take part in an interactive cocktail demonstration and sip on a tasty mojito. Then, get your dancing shows on for a one-hour salsa lesson lead by professional Cuban dance instructors. Lunch promises to be yet another delight for your tastebuds at a paladar in Old Havana. Next, it's off to the Museum of the Revolution, housed in the former Presidential Palace where you will see artifacts, weapons and planes from the 1950’s. Discover the Almacenes de San Jose Artisans’ Fair and Market where you can take your time to discover the unique finds at this open-air crafts market situated on the Port of Havana. Return to the hotel and get ready to explore Havana’s night life and food scene at your own pace with time at leisure this evening. (B,L)

This morning after breakfast embark on the day's adventures starting with a visit to Finca Vigia, Hemmingway's winter home from 1939 to 1960. It was built in 1886 and now serves as a museum where visitors can see his 9,000-volume library, living quarters, yacht “Pilar,”as well as the actual typewriter on which he wrote some of his greatest works. Complete the tracing of Hemmingway's footsteps with a visit to the fisherman's village of Cojimar where you will take part in a lively exchange with local fisherman. Then, head to the charming fishing village of Jaimanitas to visit the home, workshop and gallery of world-renowned artist and painter José Fuster, often called the “Picasso of Cuba.” Roofs, walls, doorways and benches stretching for blocks around his studio are adorned with his brightly colored sculptures and mosaics. Return to the hotel to freshen up, then tonight enjoy a fine farewell dinner at a local paladar with a meal that blends classic Cuban flavors with a touch of modern kitchen styling. (B,L,D)
