Sail up the Nile River, the longest waterway in the world, to Cairo, where antiquity and modernity have come together to form a cosmopolitan city with all the pleasures of contemporary urban life and the cultural richness of a county aware of its regal heritage.

Fly to Jordan's capital city, Amman, to be greeted by Roman ruins, desert castles and more. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which was once a crossroad for ancient people journeying East and West, enthralls a whole new generation of travelers. Jordan's oldest relics still captivate, like the stunning city of Petra and its rose-colored Al-Khazneh, a tomb exquisitely carved into the red mountains by craftsman from a bygone civilization. Feel the presence of the Roman Empire in the ruins of Jerash, a once thriving Roman provincial settlement that was part of the Decapolis League. Not all of Jordan could be tamed, though-the primeval starkness of Wadi Rum is a desert wilderness where nature has trumped most all human settlements. In the modern capital city of Amman, street life bustles and bazaars overflow with colorful textiles, foods, and other exciting goods. Meanwhile, the therapeutic and cosmetic benefits of the ultra-saline Dead Sea have appealed to travelers throughout the centuries. Jordan has so much to offer and unveils itself as a unique vacation destination for inspiration, motivation, and rejuvenation.

In Jerusalem explore Mount Zion, King David's Tomb, Bethlehem and Christianity's most scared pilgrimage site, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. You will have the opportunity to participate in guided tours in addition to leisure time to explore this magnificent city. You continue along the coast to Nazareth, Tiberias and Tabgha to see ancient ruins and even the Dead Sea. This journey is an enriching and majestic travel vacation.

Day 1 - MON CAIRO

Arrive at the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration & customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel.

Day 2 - TUE CAIRO

Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which includes the world's largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen's tomb. Then drive to Old Cairo to visit Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Stop for lunch. Afternoon visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx, then proceed to Khan El Khalili, the world's largest 13th century covered oriental bazaar. (B, L)

Day 3 - WED CAIRO I ASWAN I KOM OMBO I EDFU

Morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your cruise ship where you will spend the next 3 nights/4 days. Accommodations aboard your cruise ship will consist of outside cabins with private facilities. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Isis at Philae. View Kitchener?s Island Botanical Garden and the Aga Khan Mausoleum by felucca. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Haroeries. Then sail to Edfu and overnight. (B,L ,D)

Day 4 - THU EDFU I LUXOR

Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon god, considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor and overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - FRI LUXOR

Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon visit to Karnak and Luxor temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. This evening you may enjoy an optional sound and light show at the Karnak Temple. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - SAT LUXOR I CAIRO I AMMAN

After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Amman, via Cairo. You will be met and assisted at Queen Alia International Airport with all airport procedures and formalities via customs and immigration. Drive to Amman hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 7 - SUN AMMAN I JERASH I AJLOUN I PETRA

After breakfast, a day visit of Jerash and Ajloun and proceed in the afternoon to Petra hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 8 - MON PETRA I JERUSALEM

After breakfast, a day visit of Petra, then cross to Israel. Drive to Jerusalem for overnight. (B)

Day 9 - TUE JERUSALEM I BETHLEHEM I JERUSALEM

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Western Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to Bethlehem* for an overview of Shepherds' Field, visit the Church of Nativity and Manger's square. Return to hotel in Jerusalem. (B)

Day 10 - WED JERUSALEM I MASSADA I DEAD SEA I JERUSALEM

After breakfast, morning drive via the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea. On the way you will visit Ahava Cosmetic factory followed by a visit to Massada. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Jewish Zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, Roman baths and other findings. Descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea. Enjoy the unique opportunity to swim and float on the Dead Sea that many believe has therapeutic effects. On the way back, view the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. (B)

Day 11 - THU I JERUSALEM I NAZARETH I CAPERNAUM I TIBERIAS I JERUSALEM

After breakfast, enjoy a lovely day watching the outstanding landscape of the Lower Galilee. Depart Jerusalem on the coastal road to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Basilica of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue, via Kafr Kanna, to Tiberias, the lovely resort town. Drive along Lake Kinnereth to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught. Continue to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, located at the foot of the Golan Heights. Continue to Yardenit, the famous baptismal site, where the Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee towards Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. (B)
