Take your time to uncover your own treasures to take home in the form of souvenirs from Marrakech's open air markets, called souks. As you continue on your vacation adventure, discover the Ourika Valley, situated at the foot of the famous Oukaimeden ski resort, with its pottery making villages waiting to be explored. Next along your journey, travel west to the coast and visit Essaouira, a deep-rooted Portuguese city sometimes called Mogador that was made famous by the 1949 Orson Welles' movie Othello. Day 1 - Sat Casablanca/Marrakech

Arrive at the Casablanca Airport, then connect to your own domestic flight to Marrakech. Transfer from Marrakech Airport to your hotel. (D)

Day 2 - Sun Marrakech

Spend your day exploring exotic Marrakech. A guided tour will introduce you to the old city, its foundation, and almost thousand year history. Visit historical landmarks including the Bahia Palace and the royal necropolis of Saadian Tombs. After lunch, tour the Jemaa El- Fna Square in the heart of the city where bursts of incredible spontaneous entertainment are commonplace. Finish your tour at the foot of the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque, whose silhouette inspired the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat. Then discover the souks, or open air markets, and trades of carpenters, babouchiers, and dyers. (B, L, D)

Day 3 - Mon Marrakech/Ourika Valley/Marrakech

Depart for the Ourika Valley, located at the foot of the famous ski resort Oukaimeden. The pottery making villages of the Ourika Valley rest gently in the foothills of the quiet High Atlas Mountains. This corner of the world is wonderfully still and clam-even birds do not disturb the silence. After lunch, return to Marrakech. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Tue Marrakech/Essaouira/Marrakech

Travel west to the coast for Essaouira, an old Portuguese city sometimes called Mogador, that was made famous by the 1949 Orson Welles' movie Othello. In the afternoon, visit Port Skala, the well-protected harbour, the medieval medina and souks, the consulate district, and the Jewish Quarter called Mellah. Then return to Marrakech for the evening.
