Arrive in Cairo, the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration and a customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which includes the world's largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen's tomb. Then drive to Old Cairo to visit Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Stop for lunch and in the afternoon, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. Then proceed to Khan El Khalili, the world's largest 13th century covered oriental bazaar. (B, L)
This morning you will arrive into Aswan. Upon arrival, your representative will meet you at the airport and you will be escorted to your cruise ship where you will spend the next 3 nights/4 days. Accommodations aboard your cruise ship will consist of outside cabins with private facilities. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Isis at Philae. View Kitchener's Island Botanical Garden and the Aga Khan Mausoleum by felucca. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Haroeries. Then sail to Edfu. (B, L, D)
Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon god, (237 B.C.) considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor. (B, L, D)
Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. This evening you may enjoy an optional sound and light show at the Karnak Temple. (B, L, D)
After breakfast, visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. Disembark and transfer to the Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cairo. Rest of the day is at leisure. (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Dubai. Upon arrival to Dubai, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. (B)
After breakfast, take a half day city tour of Dubai. Dubai, the Gulfs most enchanting and cosmopolitan city, offers its modern and ancient charms. Photo stop at Burj Al Arab. Visit the magnificent twin minaret mosque, the Jumeirah Mosque, which is a spectacular example of modern Islamic architecture and is one of the most photographed sights in Dubai. Pass by the Palastquater Zabeel Skyline at the Dubai Creek and continue towards Bastakiya, the wind towered houses of old merchants. Visit the Dubai Museum in the 180 year old Al Fahidi Fort*. After the museum you will cross the Dubai Creek with an abra (water taxi) and visit the spice souk and gold souk. In the evening enjoy a traditional dhow cruise with dinner on board. You will cruise along the creek and get an excellent opportunity to see the famous skyline and enjoy a sumptuous buffet on board while listening to a mix of music. (B, D)
This morning is at leisure for you to explore Dubai. This evening you will be taken on a desert safari. You will be picked up in the afternoon in modern 4x4 vehicles and proceed to the entrance of the desert where you will experience dune bashing in the sand dunes of Al Aweer. After a stop at a camel farm, you will reach our camp in the desert after sunset. You will be welcome with dates and Arabic coffee. Enjoy an Oriental buffet dinner with live barbeque and henna lady. Camels are available for those who want to have a short ride. (B, D)
