In captivating Cagliari, a 13th century fortification still
surrounds the historic city. Amongst its essential sites are Terrazza
Umberto I with splendid views of the Gulf of Angels, San Saturno
Basilica and Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria, patron saint of

Day3 - Cagliari/Barumini/ Emerald Coast (approx. 196 miles) |
Near
Barumini (approx. 39 miles) there are megalithic edifices of the
Nuragic period that are UNESCO World Heritage sites. After visiting
the site drive to Porto Cervo on the Emerald Coast (approx. 157
miles). Sardinia's "Emerald Coast," a storied land rimming the island's
northern tip, is heralded as much for its celebrity vacationers as for

Day 4 - Emerald Coast |
Day at leisure. Today Porto Cervo is the
symbol of the Emerald Coast, of luxury tourism, of trendy pubs,
restaurants and yachts, as well as a privileged place of encounters for
international jetsetters. The famous Piazzetta and the small streets
that wind through the center of the town are full of boutiques and
jewelers. The architecture reflects the typical structures of Gallura
and the seemingly simple buildings conceal the finest hotels and
exclusive villas. All this surrounded by scenery of rare beauty, where
the transparency and colors of the sea are the real protagonists. (B) |

Day5 - Emerald Coast /Palau/La Maddalena Archipelago National Park/Palau/ Emerald Coast (approx. 44 miles) |
Today, after approx.
21 miles of road and a short sea crossing, visit La Maddalena
National Park, a geomarine protected area consisting of a group of 60
islands. With its 115 miles of coasts, the Archipelago includes some
of the most famous and charming beaches of the Mediterranean: in
particular, Spiaggia Rosa (or "the pink beach"). (B) |
